Raffle for a Cause Art Union No. 2024/2025 Terms & Conditions

  1. Raffle for a Cause Art Union No. 2024/25 is authorised under the following licence and/or permit numbers:

  1. Rally for a Cause Ltd. is permitted to sell up to 3,000 tickets in this Art Union. Each single ticket pricing is at $100.00 each.  The benefitting organisation is Rally for a Cause Ltd.
  2. Raffle for a Cause Art Union No. 2024/25 will close at 8.00pm (AEST) on Friday, 31 January, 2025, or when the 3,000th ticket is sold, whichever is earliest. The Art Union will be drawn at 11am (AEST) on Wednesday 5, February 2025. Winners will be notified by telephone and email within two (2) business days of the draw and the results will be published in The Australian Newspaper on Wednesday 19 February 2025, and at www.raffleforacause.com.au on the day of the draw.

 

PRIZES

  1. The first prize in the Raffle for a Cause Art Union No. 2024/25 is a Toyota Landcruiser 79 series 4.5 litre V8 Manual Dual Cab Chassis in Merlot with a retail value of $95,165. The vehicle is fitted with Dynamic Next Gen Tray, 4200 Lovells suspension upgrade, ROH Assault RAZR MAXXIS Wheel & Tyre Package, Pioneer Platform Roofrack, ARB Summit Bullbar and VRS 12500LB Electric Winch valued at $35,243.
  2. Prize includes on road costs, dealer delivery costs (to Brisbane or South East QLD only), compulsory third-party insurance, balance of Toyota service advantage (capped price servicing), 12 months registration and GST. The total drive-away retail value of the prize is $133,575. Images used to portray the prize are for display purposes only and may not depict exact prize vehicle.
  3. The second prize in the Raffle for a Cause Art Union No. 2024/25 is $1,000 AUD or an equivalent value in Coles Group & Myer Gift Cards.

QLD, NSW, SA, NT Winners - A monetary amount of $1,000 AUD will be paid within 14 business days of the draw, by means of a crossed cheque payable to the Winner in Australian Dollars to be delivered by registered mail, or if the Winner so requests in writing, by means of electronic transfer of funds to any nominated account.

VIC Winners - Coles Group & Myer Gift Cards to the value of $1,000 AUD will be delivered within 14 business days of the draw, by registered mail.  Further Terms and Conditions apply – please see Coles Myer Gift Card Terms and Conditions

 

GENERAL

  1. Information on how to enter and details of the prizes form part of these terms. Entry into the Art Union detailed below is deemed to be acceptance of these Terms and entrants warrant that they are not prohibited from accepting a prize.
  2. The Raffle for a Cause Art Union is run and promoted by Rally for a Cause Ltd. ABN 33 632 815 233 C/- 45 Torquay Road, Pialba, QLD 4655.
  3. Entries are open to Australian residents aged 18 years of age or older but excludes members of the Rally for a Cause Ltd. committee, employees and their immediate family. Rally for a Cause holds permits in QLD, SA, VIC, NSW, NT to conduct this raffle, it is the responsibility of all persons who enter the Art Union to ensure they are eligible under all applicable laws to accept the prizes offered as part of the Art Union.
  4. Entry is by way of purchase and full payment of tickets online via the Raffle for a Cause website at www.raffleforacause.com.au.
  5. All entries received and paid in full via the Raffle for a Cause website by the closing date or until tickets have sold out are automatically entered into the draw. Only Australian currency is accepted as payment for an entry.  Ticket purchases are non-refundable.
  6. Art Union tickets are not tax deductible. Rally for a Cause Ltd. accepts no liability for any tax implications that may arise from winning a prize.
  7. The Raffle for a Cause Art Union No. 2024/25 prize draw will be conducted at Bell Dixon Butler Lawyers, 45 Torquay Road, Pialba, QLD 4655 commencing 11am (AEST) on Wednesday 5 February, 2025. The draw will be conducted under strict Government permit regulations.  An independent scrutineer supervises the prize draws to ensure legislative compliance.  The prize draws will be via a barrel draw.   All valid ticket entry numbers will be entered into the barrel, from which there will be a randomly selected number from the range to identify our winning ticket number/s.  Members of the public are welcome to attend the Art Union draw.
  8. Winning ticket numbers and winners’ details will be validated against records held via the Raffleforcause.com.au website database and all draws are final. Winners will be required to provide Rally for a Cause with a certified copy of photographic identification (Passport, Drivers License or Australian Proof of Age Card) before the delivery of prizes.  The winners name and winning tickets numbers will be published on the raffleforacause.com.au website and via Rally for a Cause social media following the draw. Where Rally for a Cause is unable to verify or contact a winner or any prize remains unclaimed, the laws of the state where the winning ticket holder ordinarily resides at the time of the purchase of the ticket will apply in relation to a redraw if applicable. State legislation at the time of permit approval is as follows:

QLD, SA & NT – If the winner is from QLD, SA or the NT and the prize is not claimed within one year, Rally for a Cause may apply the prize or its sale proceeds to the association’s purpose. NSW– If despite every reasonable effort Rally for a Cause cannot contact a NSW prize winner, then RFAC must retain the prize for three months after the draw. At the end of three months if the prize remains unclaimed, Rally for a Cause will redraw another winning ticket or entry.   The redraw will take place on Wednesday 4th June 2025 at Bell Dixon Butler Lawyers, 45 Torquay Rd, Pialba QLD 4655.

VIC –If Rally for a Cause cannot, after reasonable efforts to do so, find a Victorian winner of a prize, Rally for a Cause must ensure that the prize is retained for 3 months after the draw. If the prize or proceeds of the sale of a prize retained remains unclaimed after a period of 12 months after the draw of the raffle, Rally for a Cause must: (a) Sell or otherwise dispose of the prize if this has not already been done; and (b) After deducting the reasonable costs of the sale or disposal, pay the proceeds to the Treasurer for payment into the Consolidated Fund.

  1. Rally for a Cause Ltd. reserves the right to disqualify entries for non-compliance with these Terms.
  2. Rally for a Cause Ltd. is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered or sustained as a result of claiming or taking any prize, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law. Rally for a Cause Ltd. reserves the right to supply an alternative prize of equal value if due to unforeseen circumstances is unable to provide the winner with the nominated prize at the time of delivery, subject to any written directions from the relevant State Gaming Departments.
  3. Prize values are based upon recommended retail prices at the time of printing (inclusive of GST) and all references to currency is in Australian dollars. Non-cash prizes are not redeemable for cash and no prize is transferable.  Rally for a Cause Ltd. accepts no responsibility for changes in prize value. 
  4. Rally for a Cause Ltd. will coordinate the first prize through their own specified suppliers and the vehicle must be collected by the winner from a nominated Toyota dealership in Brisbane or South-East Queensland.
  5. Rally for a Cause Ltd. only collects and uses personal information for the purposes of:
  • Processing and recording ticket orders
  • Contacting entrants to update details required for processing ticket orders or advise of a prize win
  • Prize winner notification via print or social media and website
  • Communication of other Rally for a Cause Ltd. offers and events via phone, mail and email
  1. Complaints or disputes may be made by contacting Rally for a Cause and will be referred to the Chairperson (or delegate) for resolution. The decision of the Chairperson shall be final and binding. The Chairperson decision shall not be subject to challenge or review.
  2. Prize winners names and winning state will be announced on conclusion of the draw and published on the organisation's website and social media accounts.
